Look for a jack on the latopp that looks like a phone jack, but larger. That's the Ethernet jack. Plug that into the one in the wall (that's probably where it is) and she's in business. If they don't supply the cable, and it didn't come with the latopp, she can get one at Walmart or Best Buy or any store that carries computer supplies (even Staples ought to have them). She just needs a straight Ethernet cable. (If it doesn't say either straight , standard or crossover it straight. The other kind is crossover which she doesn't want. Cat5, Cat6, Cat6E for the length she'll be using (5-15 feet, depending on what she needs) it doesn't make any difference.
